Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IS THERE an idea for coach operators in the new AA Book of British Villages? It records in words and pictures life in 700 of the 13,000 villages in this country. They were selected for their beauty or interest by the most knowledgable local people, including John Arlott, the cricket commentator and wine connoisseur, who lives in New Alresford, Hants.

Leisurely conducted tours of attractive villages, preferably in small coaches, with couriers or drivers who have immersed themselves in the subject, might make a welcome change from the usual run of marathons, at least for people who have grown Out of discos and candyfloss.

THIS YEAR's trans-Pennine run from Manchester to Harrogate by the Historic Commercial Vehicle Club will be held on August 3. Nearly 180 vehicles more than 20 years old are expected to take part.

Last year's programme costing 40p gave comprehensive information on the entries but none of the pictures had a caption. I hope this indefensible omission will be corrected this year.
