IN CM June 14 it was reported that Bournemouth-based Excelsior European Motorways had placed orders for two Jonckheere-bodied OAF rearengined coaches with Roaselare (Sales) Ltd of Northampton.

We have been informed by Excelsior that this is incorrect and that the company ordered one vehicle for its Belgian company direct from the bodybuilder last year and has an option on a second one AS FORECAST in CM July 21 Scania has now announced it has received the orders for its Voith-geared BR112DH double-deck bus chassis.

Newport Borough Transport has ordered 11 buses with bodywork built by Marshalls of Cambridge (Engineering) Ltd and Tyne and Wear PTE is taking two Alexander-bodied examples for trials and evaluation.

Scania stresses that the chassis have a 20 per cent British content. Delivery to the bodybuilders is expected to take place later this year to allow the buses to be delivered in the spring of 1981.
