Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Isuzu made the bold move of offering an automated transmission as standard on its truck line-up when it gave the NPR a makeover in the summer of 2005. The updated version also received a new 5.2-litre common-rail engine available at 175 and 150hp. Its lighter than the previous unit and is expected to offer improved fuel economy. The top rating is currently available only with the manual transmission. Torque output is 500 and 404Nm respectively.

Isuzifs auto transmission uses a conventional manual transmission with the shift actuation controlled electronically. To ensure smooth delivery of the power there's a multiple wet clutch, fluid coupling and conventional clutch actuator. All of this is controlled electronically, hence no clutch pedal in the cab. Change is not as fast as that on otter from ZF in the MAN TGL, but we're not sure it the drivers will care.

The cab has received an exterior restyle and although the interior remains virtually unchanged a fully suspended seat is now available, air conditioning is an option and the interior trim is a dark grey affair, which should be simple to keep clean. We have no fuel test results yet from the NPR, so the jury's out on the efficiency of the truck, but for payload potential alone it has to be worth a try.
