A PICKFORDS representative who read in the Daily Telegraph that the Arts Council had to quit the Hayward Gallery in London in six months' time telephoned at once to offer the company's services in the move. The gentle giants are clearly sprinters with longdistance staying power.
The endangered Silver Studded Blue butterfly has also had to move home. The entire species has been transferred by lorry from Warrenheath, near Ipswich, to Pipers Vale on the River Orwell because its original habitat was still threatened by building development.
