Working with asbestos The Health and Safety Executive has published a guide to the effectiveness of respirato Ty protective equipment (RPE) to employers working with asbestos. The Selecting Respiratory Protective Equipment for Work with Asbestos leaflet gives examples of levels of exposure and suitable equipment, and the dangers of ill-fitting or badly worn RPE. Fire safety The Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions (DETR) has issued a consultation paper setting out proposals to improve fire safety for people in and around buildings.
