He succeeds Chris Millward, who retires as divisional general manager (north). Mr Taylor takes on the new role after six years as district manager/divisional manager of Merseyside Transport's St Helens Division.
He has been in the passenger transport industry since he left school.
Bob Holm° replaces Mr Taylor as divisional general manager of St Helens Division.
He joined Liverpool City Transport as a fitter and within three years had been appointed works study engineer. At the age of 26 he became senior study engineer and in 1977 industrial relations officer. Several years later he became principal industrial relations officer.
