THE PORT of Doverhas had a per cent increase in the numb of road haulage units passil through the docks in 1982.
For the period of January December 1982, 600,000 un (tractive unit and trailer count two units) used the port, cot pared with 510,000 for ti previous year.
During December 50,000 un used the port, a 20 per cent i crease on the previous yea' figure of 41,000.
Other ro-ro freight came 116,000 units for 1982, a 27 p cent increase on the 1981 figu of 91,270. For December, rofreight amounted to 8,000 uni compared with 6,000 for cember 1981.
