NO NAME in the field of guidebooks is as famous as tha of Baedeker; the first one was published over 150 years ago.
Baedeker's France (AA: £6.9! is part of a completely new series, the English editions being published for the first tin in this country. The principal towns are described on alphabetical order, the book is lavishly illustrated with excell€ colour photos and there are quite a few maps. Forty pages are devoted to practical information: much of it aimed principally at tourists and including a very short vocabulary.
