Heavy depot
A MIDLANDS depot has been opened by the international heavy haulage contractor Robert Wynn and Sons. Located at Chasetown Industrial Estate, Chase Terrace, near Walsall, the new depot has a 11-acre park and 1,400sqft of offices.
Customs service
IMPORTERS and exporters without cargo-handling facilities at Felixstowe are now being offered a Customs clearance service by Coastways Freight Agencies. The corn pany claims that it can cut down on costly trailer hold-ups due to incorrect documentation for customers with no contact at the docks.
Cost course
A SHORT COURSE on "Cost benefit analysis and its application to transport" is being held at the Cranfield Institute of Technology from January 19-23, It is designed to meet the needs of central and local government officers, consultants and transport operators and will be concerned with the analysis of the social and economic consequences of transport decisions.
