Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• To allow operators to take advantage of the recommendation that 0 licences will not be required for goods vehicles of up to 3.5-ton g.v .w., Leyland Motors (Scotland) Ltd., has introduced a new version of the BMC FG truck. Designated the 350 FG, it has a gross vehicle plated weight of 3.5 tons and replaces completely the 360 FG on the home market.

The reclassification and plating of the smallest FG has been accomplished with the agreement of the Ministry of Transport, who have advised all their testing stations of the alteration.

Operators of the 360 FG vehicles (previously S 200 and FGK 30) interested in this change of plating should contact their local distributor or retail dealer who will arrange for the re-plating, and also advise any operator of a 360 FG who specifically requires to remain plated for 3.6-ton.

Current 350/360 FG models are fitted with 12in. x 2.25in, front brakes and these will have the front axle plated for 1.8-ton. Earlier machines fitted with 12in. x 1.75in. front brakes will be plated for 1.5-ton.
