• Whale Tankers is supplying a fleet of units to North West Water based on Seddon Atkinson chassis.
The Solihull-based company is using Strata chassis-cabs for the initial order of 25 tankers comprising 2,000-gallon, 17tonne units up to 32-tonne variants for 4,000 gallons.

vers align them exactly with 6in pipes. Smaller units are for use on sites with restricted access but Whale says the bulk of the order is for the larger barrels.
Unifleet will operate the tankers for North West Water; it is also ordering a further 25 from Whale including High Volume Combination tankers, two Whale Trail jetters and 17 StepVacs with a 5,500-gallon capacities for transporting sludge to treatment works.
