MI MAN's middleweight G90 replacement range looks set for launch this autumn. As revealed in Commercial Motor 21-27 Jan, the new model will use the a revised Steyr middleweight alb in place of the existing MAN/VW cab. The range is likely to extend beyond the existing G90 range, possibly up to 13 tonnes.
Following in the Iveco Ford New Cargo's footsteps, power will come from a charge-cooled four-cylinder engine, rated at 75k W (100hp) and 112kW (150hp). The engine will be based on the existing MAN 4.58 litre, four-cylinder diesel.
This engine is currently used in naturally aspirated form in the G90 8.100 7.5-tormer, not available in Britain.
