By Hayley Pink CV RECOVERY irm Egertons Recovery, which entered administration on 23 March, has been snapped up in a pre-pack deal led by its former directors.

The Mobberly, Cheshire-based recovery business, which runs a leet of about 200 vehicles, including specialist heavy plant for rescuing broken-down lorries, oper

ates from 14 depots mainly along the M6. It employs 150 staff.

Egertons Recovery Group, a holding company incorporated in June 2010 by directors Mark, John, Celia and Diane Egerton, bought the business and some of its assets as a going concern following attempts to sell the business by administrator Duff & Phelps.

Stephen Clancy, from Duff & Phelps, says: “A sale was com

pleted shortly after the appointment to Egertons Recovery Group, which is continuing to offer a ‘business-as-usual’ service.

“The sale has preserved the jobs of all existing staff at the time of the transfer and safeguarded their future employment.” MD Mark Egerton says: “All of the company’s employees have transferred to Egertons Recovery Group as part of the sale.”
