Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LABEL YOUR SHOES The Asbestos Products (Safely) Regulations 1985 came into force on March 20. They affect operators who keep brake shoes and linings in their stores because these must be properly labelled.

Mintex Don will supply labels of the approved design to its customers free of charge. The company has also issued an information bulletin that explains the new regulations. This is available from Mintex Don distributors or from the Marketing Department, Mintex Don Ltd, PO Box 18, Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire BD19 3UJ.

• Deutz Engines has introduced an exchange parts scheme.

The company's distributors and dealers now offer a range of replacement assemblies — including complete exchange engines — with a year's warranty as an alternative to new components.

• Daf Trucks has expanded its DAFex service exchange parts range with the addition of exchange oil coolers. These are priced from £195.50 plus VAT, which says Daf, "represents in certain cases a 75 per cent saving against the price of a new unit."

Aspect cast alloy wheels are now being offered as an alternative to Alcoa forged aluminium wheels on Dafs special vehicle option list. Whereas longer studs are needed for the Alcoa wheels, the Aspect wheels arc thinner and so the standard studs can be retained.

• Foden has enlarged its parts catalogue to include more components for nonFoden trucks. Brake drums, light bulbs and filters are among the new items, plus Spicer gearbox parts and more Cummins engine parts.
