Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I WRITE REGARDING apparent inaccuracies in an article entitled 'Toll protest stops traffic' (CM21-27 August).

Firstly, the correct title of the organisation to which you refer is: Bundesamt ftir Gifterkraftverkehr (BAG.) I translate this as "National Office for Goods Traffic". Its duties approximately equate to enforcement and monitoring of compliance in the way that part of VOSA now does.

Secondly, my reading of the article leads me to believe that it suggests that the BAG is the German equivalent of our RHA. In fact, that is so far wide of the mark that it is the same as saying that the organisation formerly known as the VI represents haulier's interests in the UK!
