Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

l'HE FIRST congestion-busting red route outside London came into force in Solihull last week.

Running along the A34 from Junction 4 of the M42. it could eventually become part of a 280mile network across the West Midlands where on-street parking is banned.

Other routes currently out to consultation are the A34 and A38 in Birmingham. the A4037 and A461 in Dudley, the A34. A4031 and A41 in Sandwell, the B425 in Solihull and the A34 in Walsall.

David Bull, head of transportation strategy for Birmingham city council, says the entire network will eventually cover virtually all A roads in the region and take 10 years to complete at a cost of £180m.
