THE Sheffield section of the Institute of Transport and the Sheffield College of Commerce and Technology have arranged a one-day course on "Transport and the Community ", to be held at the college on October 27.
Speakers will be Mr. C. T. Humpidge (general manager, Sheffield Corporation Transport and president of the Municipal Passenger Transport Association) on "National legislation and transport Mr. H. A. Bodd (joint general manager, Elliott Traffic Automation Ltd.) on "Modern development in traffic control systems "; Mr. Dudley Perkins (general manager, Port of London Authority) on "Ports in the community "; and Mr. J. Hancock (assistant general manager, commercial, Eastern region, British railways) on "Railways in 1965: what the traffic will bear ".
