Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Zag, Ford's Fiestabased concept van designed by Ghia of Turin, is to be fitted with an Orbital engine. The vehicle, which has been on display at the Birmingham Motor Show, will be fitted with the advanced two-stroke engine at Ford's Dunton Research plant.

The Orbital engine offers decreased weight with improved fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. This will rake it an obvious choice for light CVs where the weight-saving potential translates into payload advantages.

Explaining the development, Derek Barron, chairman and chief executive of Ford of Britain, says: "The results we are achieving are so encouraging that we are now transferring the programme from the research stage into mainstram engineering.

"I predict that well before the end of the decade we will see these engines in a number of full-volume production vehicles," he adds.
