HE Lorry Driver of the Year competition continues to grow, the national council was told on Wednesday, and there may be four new centres next year Scotland, Liverpool, Cheshire and King's Lynn. The Woolwich raund may-not be held.

The expansionesaid Mr. Mervyn Miles (national organizing secretary) had brought the competition to the point where it ought to be self-supporting. The national council therefore agreed to invite the Lord Mayor of Coventry to become patron and to assist in making an appeal for annual contributions from these interested in the competition.

Next year's national final will he on September 13 at Bramcote, which may become a permanent or semi-permanent venue. The first 1964 eliminator will be at Weymouth, probably on March 14.

The council decided to accept an offer from T.G.B. Motors Ltd of a trophy for the best woman driver.
