THE Ministry of Transport expects shortly to discuss with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders a scheme under which the maximum permitted 'weight would be displayed on an embossed plate on every goods vehicle.
The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport, Mr. Hay, said this in an oral answer in the Commons last week, when Mr. Arribray asked him whether regulations to bring this into effect were being considered.
