Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LONDON Country is making strong efforts to improve upon unrealistic timetables on several of its longer-distance services.

Last weekend, it introduced new timings on its 716 route between Guildford and Central London which allow greater "recovery" time during morning and evening peak periods.

It is also aware that some longer services are allowed too much running time at off-peak periods, and is looking at several of these.

A spokesman told CM that talks with Transport and General Workers Union officials were aimed at improving productivity, but LCBS has to balance faster services against the advantage of having easily-remembered clockface timetables.

One possible solution will be the introduction of limitedstop services in some areas, and this is being given active consideration by the company.
