With some 700 people employed worldwide, Harries says the training aspect of the company is one they take very seriously. "Almost all of our people are multi-skilled, some of whom are performing two or three different roles. We have a new training manager based here in Hixon. who takes care of the specialist elements, whereas the more standardised stuff, such as FLT certificates, Is outsourced." he says. But with people in all corners of the globe, how do you train such a vastly spread workforce? "We rely on the internet for some areas. We have a web-based e-learning platform where an employee, anywhere in the world can log-on, in exam conditions, and sit a test for a given qualification."
