Steve Wright, who presents the afternoon programme, told CMthat when he joined the station he "didn't think Sally Traffic was a good idea".
"I'd always done the traffic news myself, but after a day here I thought it was much better having Sally! I was staggered at the volume of calls she receives every dayit's like having thousands of reporters out on the road.
"Radio 2 has the best travel service I have come across. It's instant, accurate and delivered in a style that punters relate to and it's something other radio and TV stations should take note of," he adds.
