is to cut the rates for 12 subcontractors working out of its Purfleet depot and is closing a transport depot in the South-West.
Earlier this year Danzas said it was reorganising to improve profits and appointed a new managing director, Rod Stoyel, to carry out the changes. changes will not affect the remaining 170 subcontractors used by Danzas.
Other changes include closing the transport depot at Bristol and moving operations to the Chard depot in Somerset. Stoyel says he cannot justify two operating centres in the same area. As a result, 18 Danzas employees, including drivers, warehousemen and office staff, face redundancy, with 12 others moving to other jobs within the company.
