• Parcels delivery firm Business Post has posted pretax profits up 42% to £13m on a 28% increased turnover to £65.5m, demonstrating stronger margins as a result of improved cost-management.
Operating margins rose from 17.3% to just above 19%, during the year ending March 1996. and the company spent £2.3m on capital projects, which included £400,000 on the building of a regional hub in London's Docklands.
It is also planning a new national hub in Birmingham, which should be operational by mid-1997 at a projected cost of £7.6m.
