JUNIOR Transport Minister Kenneth Clarke says he thinks that private horseboxes and trailers attending sports events should remain outside the scope of tachograph regulations.
While he has left the final decision to courts and enforcement authorities, Mr Clarke said this week that the regulations should not apply to Land-Rovers and cars pulling horseboxes at equestrian events, and at fox hunts, even where the vehicles' gross train weight exceeds 3.5 tonnes.
