▪ The Yorkshire/Torbay Pool was granted a
new daily winter service between Bradford and Cheltenham with 12 intermediate stops by the Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners in Leeds on Tuesday.
Objections by British Railways were withdrawn after negotiation.
Mr. F. D. Walker. on behalf of the applicants, said there was a desire for this service as the existing stage carriage services over the Pennines in winter, to connect with the express services, were hazardous.
