Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Freightliners Ltd. brought a new major terminal into operation at Nottingham on Monday. It is the first in the East Midlands and the 22nd to be introduced into the network,

The terminal is geared to handle 300 containers in and out daily. It occupies an 8-acre site which was formerly a railway marshalling yard, and is close to A52 and Ml. It has three rail tracks, a parallel road for collection and delivery lorries, and two giant mobile electric cranes which can transfer a container from lorry to train or vice versa in two minutes.

The first Freightliner service to operate from the new terminal will be a nightly one between Nottingham and London (York Way). A second to Stockton-on-Tees and Newcastle will start on July 7. Direct services to Harwich (Parkeston Quay) and Felixstowe for shipping traffic are expected to be introduced later.

With the opening of Nottingham terminal, the number of Freightliner routes is brought up to 49.
