Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Engine: 1 5-litre diesel, 50hp/160Nm Transmission: front-wheel drive, 5spd manual GVW: 1,505kg Load volume: 09m3

MODEL TESTED/ PUBUSHED: Renault is noted for its ability to build cracking small cars, and the Clio retains all the qualities that have made the passenger vehicle a success.

Its fun to drive, comes with a smooth and perky 1.5-litre engine and inside, you get an individually styled and well appointed cabin.

However, the pleasing design does infringe on the load volume, rated at 0.95m3, because the rear hatch slopes quite dramatically. And the suspension could do with a touch more stiffness to avoid the dramatic compression when fully loaded.

But that doesn't detract from the incisive handling, which is aided by the direct steering.

This allows you to nip in and out of spaces at the flick of a wrist, while the short gearchanges help you to get the best out the engine.

What's more, it's an economical so-and-so, competing well with the best the competition has to offer in the fuel stakes.

IJIKES AND DISUE:L.

✓ Drives much like a Clio passenger car ✓ Stylish design both inside and out X Limited load ability for class
