II Vauxhall has announced the on-the-road price for its new mid-van sized Vivaro well ahead of the vehicle's official launch date next slimmer.

Starting price for the 2.9-tonne GVVI Vivaro short-wheelbase panel van with a 1.9 DI (79hp) common-rail engine is £12,925 (ex-VAT), rising by £600 for the 1.9 DTI (99hp) version. Renault does not plan to announce prices for the Traflc, Vivaro's sister van, until its launch in April.

Also in the pipeline is a 119hp two-litre 16v petrol engine, a 131hp 2.5-litre turbo-charged common-rail diesel as well as a series of body conversions.
