Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Worcester-based firefighting vehicle manufacturer Carmichael International has been sold to the venture capital combine Murray Johnstone Private Equity for 13.2m by Mayflower, which recently acquired the Dennis Group.

Carmichael's 120 staff produce about 150 appliances a year ranging from the smallest Land Rover-based vehicles to the latest all-wheel drive Cobra 2 airfield crash tenders.

At present its £25m order book includes 60 military-spec 6x6 Cobra 2s and 16 civil 6x6s, two of which are already working at Newcastle Airport.

More than half Carmichael's output is exported beyond the EC but it aims to expand into the rest of the EC and develop other airfield support vehicles.
