Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A range of ready-to-plug-in electric tubular heaters has been announced by Lexor Dis-Boards. Known as Lexor electric pipes, they are available in lengths from 2ft to 10ft in single units or multiples of two, three or four. Rated at 60W per foot the tubes enable a power range from 120W to 2400W to be accommodated by 24 models. The tubes are designed to give a uniformly distributed heat that obviates hot spots and draughts, while the surface temperature is such that fire risks due to accidental contact with paper, textiles and so on are minimized. The heaters are said to be particularly suitable for use in locations where they are required to operate unattended for long hours.

The sets are ready wired and are supplied complete with mounting brackets and battens. No skill is required to assemble them and there are no electrical connections to be made. While the units can be used free standing they are easily fixed to a wall, bench or desk. A 9ft power-supply cable is supplied with a ready-fitted 13A fused plug and each set is provided with a red warning lamp to show when it is working. A thermostat unit is available as an extra.

Prices: From £6.50 to £44.56.
