Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ANEW range of oil-cooled welding transformers is announced by Hill Equipment Ltd. The range covers six different sets having current outputs from 20 to 500 amp. and capable of laying down electrodes of from 16 s.w.g. up to in. thick.

One model—the WB 180—should be particularly useful in commercial vehicle workshops for as well as welding it is capable of boost-charging vehicle batteries and trickle-charging them also. Moreover, it can continue charging whilst also being used to weld. It will lay down rods up to 8 s.w.g., which should be heavy enough for most repair work. When used for trickle-charging its output can be as low as 2.5 amp. and for boosting it has a maximum output of 60 amp.

Each set is equipped with a coarse and a fine regulator; when these two are used in conjunction with each other 72 extremely fine settings can be obtained. An instruction plate affixed to each set provides permanent basic information regarding both the current and the size of rod that should be used for each setting.

The controls of all the sets are contained within the oil tanks, providing protection from accidental damage and also the effects of dampness and corrosion. The sets are strongly constructed, the heavier ones being mounted on bogie wheels. They all carry a 10-year guarantee.
