THE Quasi-Arc Co., Ltd., Bilston, Staffordshire, have developed a new welding set known as Type ACP.190. It is air-cooled and has an output ranging from 20 amp. to 190 amp. with an open-circuit voltage of 60. It is claimed that the operator can rapidly select any one of 35 current settings to cover a wide range of work, and at the lower end of the range the current can be varied in steps as low as I amp.
The transformer is arranged so that it may be connected to supply voltages ranging from 190 to 240 and 380 to 480. •
