AFTER RECEIVING a few copies of CM during one of our few-and-far-between visits allowed by relatives, my cell mate read with great interest the letter from Tim Andrews, the British driver locked up in Greece in the 30 October edition.

At first, he had assumed the letter to be from myself as the contents,Tim's situation and terrible conditions he is forced to endure sound very similar to our own here in France. although he fails to mention the mice, rats and cockroaches who are our nightly visitors.

May I take this opportunity to reiterate Tim's thanks to everybody who is supporting us, especially the families and friends on whom we depend for so much and without whose help life would be so much more difficult and uncomfortable. Of course, all the people, organisations and websites who are offering their continued support and contributions are also very important to our on-going struggle.

Unfortunately.I believe Tim's latest attempt to gain his freedom has failed, as has my own latest appeal, but this will not deter me from continuing to protest my innocence and provide as much evidence as possible to support this.

I wish Tim the very best of luck in his endeavours and hopefully one day soon we can both celebrate at home with our families.
