DfT figures show that there are an estimated 50.000 to 70,000 foreign vehicles making between 20 to 30 trips per annum to the UK. Around 40% of foreign trucks visiting the UK do so fewer than six times a year. However, at least 18% of vehicles make at least one trip a week to the UK. Geographically closer countries on average make more trips but spend less time in relation to more distant countries.
