COMMENDABLE consideration for the blind is being shown by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, which has cooperated with the Royal National Institute for the Blind in the production of a Braille list of 16 engineering conferences to be held next year.
Moreover, Griffith Vaughan Williams, the Mechanical Engineers' press and information officer, has kindly offered to read the list of forthcoming monthly meetings and lectures to any blind person who phones him. If the demand justified it, he would record the information on tape and send it to anyone requiring it so long as the cassette was returned.
