• Trucks could face bans from some country roads in West Lancashire if a survey by parish councils backs claims that they are being damaged by heavy vehicles.
Five councils are being urged to compile a dossier on the use of roads for submission to the Lancashire Association of Parish Councils for consideration and possible action.
