• Salford Van Hire has added 460 F-registration vehicles to its rental and contract-hire fleets in its biggest-ever order.

Up to 145 two-year-old vehides will be replaced and another 140 new vehicles will be added, bringing the fleet size from 2,240 to 2,380 vehicles. Salford is adding 175 to its contract-hire division, with these all being additional to existing contracts. Most of the vehicles are Mercedes, Ford, or Iveco Ford. They include: Mercedes 307s, 814s, 1617s and 1628/ 1635 tractive units; Ford Transits and Iveco Ford Cargos; Leyland Daf 1900 rigids; and 95 Series tractive units.
