• Alan Steadman and six other former ARS staff are taking up new jobs at Gloucestershire haulier Free Foresters.
Steadman, who founded ARS and remained there as manager until owners Allied Transport Holdings closed it last week (CM 28 March-3 April), says he will take four ex-ARS contracts with him.
Free Foresters is one of four haulage firms owned by Andrew Edwards, which together run 45 HGVs on general haulage work.
