MERSEYSIDE PTE has taker delivery of a new ERF vehicle fitted with TFL bodywork anc recovery equipment. The heavy-duty three-axle chassis is powered by Gardner 6LXI3 diesel drivini through a nine-speed gear box. The cab is all steel witl space in the sleeper corn partment for extra crew wher necessary. A two-way radii system is fitted.
The recovery equipmenr fitted includes a cranE capable of lifting 16,0024 (15 3.4 tons). Also carried is a special righting lever for double-deckers which has been developed by PTE engineers.
