Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

( models—from 3,000 to DOOlb capacity—of a new lge of fork-lift trucks are ing introduced by Conveyancer d have been designed to con-m to international standards. a three smaller models are :ctric while the three larger )deIs are powered by internal mbustion engines. These ter models are powered by a oice of either Perkins 4.236 esel, or G.4236 petrol, this 'gine being available with dualel system for alternative petrol L P. Gas operation.

Full power steering is standard luipment and is operated from ; own hydraulic system. Torque nvertor transmission ensures loath effortless driving control th a choice of two speeds in rward or reverse direction and ecise "inching" independent of 'gine speed.

A range of standard of full ie-lift masts are available with tal lifts of 108in, to 168in. combining high-lift stacking with minimum closed height and a "free-lift" of 19in. Widely spaced mast channels give a maximum view of all load handling operations.

Single pneumatic tyres are standard but twin drive wheels can be fitted where surface conditions require it. Puncture-proof tyres are also available.

The larger trucks can do 12 mph. and lift speeds of up to 70ft per minute, with fullcapacity loads.

Speed of the smaller three vehicles, battery powered, is controlled by silicon controlled rectifiers. This system combines smooth acceleration and a fine degree of "inching" control for manoeuvring in confined spaces. They have top speeds between 51 mph to 61 mph according to the model, when carrying fullcapacity loads.

Each truck can be programmed, within limits, at the time of manufacture to suit the customer's own speed requirements. Standard lift or full freelift masts of the roller-mounted type are available, with total lifts of 108in. to 168in. Widely spaced mast channels and single lift chain give the maximum view possible of all loads-handling operations.

Two braking systems are fitted: a hydraulically operated foot brake of the automotive type and a transmission brake, applied by either the handbrake lever or automatically when the driver leaves the seat. Accessibility to all major components is by means of hinged doors or quick-release, removable panels These trucks feature considerable standardization of components. Mast. balance-weight, motors, hydraulic pumps. S.C.R. systems, axles, wheels, jacks, steering, etc.. are common to all three trucks and are interchangeable. The only variables are length of chassis and steering rod and battery capacity.
