Vacu-Lug has extended its range of truck bead-to-bead radial remoulds. Three new patterns— types ZZ. L and B--closely follow the standard designs of a new tyre manufacturer.
The ZZ pattern is available in sizes 900-20, 1000-20 and D.20/1000-20. Type L pattern is available in 900-20 size and type B pattern is available on D.20/1000-20 casing.
Although Vacu-Lug has been retreading radial truck tyres for several years—by a top-cap process under the trade mark Diehard—increasing demand created a need for volume production which, according to Vacu-Lug, could best be met by a full bead-to-bead remould. New equipment recently installed will achieve this.
This enlargement of the beadto-bead remoulding capacity is not being carried out at the expense of the Diehard top-cap retread. That side of the business will not be affected, and will re
main as an alternative to the new range, concentrating on the patterns and sizes not covered by the new moulding equipment. Further information obtainable from Vacu-Lug Organisation, Grantham, Lincs.
