Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Dexion Ltd. has brought out a boltless shelving system known as Impex. Side-frames are preassembled at the factory, while shelves, beams, bracing or backcladding simply clip into place to ensure rigid units.

Shelves are positioned with four shelf clips and can be fitted at 1 lin. intervals to the full height of the racking. To adjust shelves within a bay the clips are quickly removed and repositioned. Although designed primarily as a hand-loading shelving system, each single bay of racking will nevertheless carry over one ton.

Three basic bracing methods are available with Impex shelving. These enable the erection of equipment to suit individual requirements, for long span, double-entry open shelving to fully clad shelving utilizing Dexion steel shelf-dividers to provide accommodation for small parts storage.

Impex shelving is available in stock heights 6ft 6in. and 7ft 6in, although frame lengths of between 3ft and 10ft are available to order. Two shelf strengths are available, the standard duty carrying a uniformly distributed load of 350Ib and the heavy duty 650Ib. All shelves are 36in. wide but come in depths ranging from 12in. to 24in. for the standard duty and 18in. to 36in. for the heavy duty. Standard-duty shelves are perforated along the front and back edge to accept the Dexion drop-in shelf-dividers. A four-page leaflet is available, together with a price list containing details of how to select and order.
