Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

C. P. Equipment Ltd. has introduced the C-power 500, a robust high-pressure/low-volume mobile power washer for washing down commercial vehicles, machinery, workshop floors and similar jobs.

The direct-drive sealed pump is controlled by an on/off switch flush-mounted on the canopy, with a fail-safe provision in the event of power failure. It has a throughput of 1.75 gal per min. at 500 lb.lin.2.

A high-pressure delivery hose 30ftlong is supplied, terminating in a well-balanced hand-lance fitted with a quick-action on/off valve. A low-pressure nozzle is connected to the lance for spraying detergent and is replaced by a high-pressure 1500 lb.lin.2) nozzle for washing off. The lance is made in two sections, 35in. and 25in. long respectively, providing a choice of lengths, 35in. or 60in. As each washer is supplied with 40ft of electrical cable and 40ft of suction hose, it can operate over a wide area from one power and water point. The 12in. diameter rubber-tyred wheels make for easy handling and mobility even on rough ground.

The low capacity of this washer makes it especially suitable for areas where drainage is a problem.

A glass-reinforced plastic canopy encloses both pump and motor, which are not affected by the damp working conditions of wash-down areas. In bright red and blue, it stands out on the drabbest site—a good point when vehicles are manoeuvring nearby.

The C-Power 500 is available in two versions. The Standard Model is connected directly to the water main and electricity supply, with provision to take detergent from a separate container. It can also be connected to a static water tank.

The Dual Model is similar but water from mains or static tank is sucked into a built-in water tank. the level being controlled by ball-cock valve. A second tank containing detergent feeds to the water tank, a regulating valve metering the flow. Both tanks are of glass-reinforced plastics.

Made by: C.P. Equipment Ltd.. Mill Green Road, Mitcham, Surrey.

Price: Without detergent tank £150, with detergent tank £172.
