Test results reported by the Wickman Machine Tool Manufacturing Company confirm that on tapping operations alone, speeds are raised by as much as 70 per cent and tools last up to five times their normal life. A considerable improvement in the finish on such metals as phosphor bronze, brass and nickel-chrome steel is also claimed.
The lubricant that has been developed to give all the benefits of the established United Lubricants Concentrate 905 with the added advantage of mist application by Aerosol which creates a pore-penetrating, anti-friction film on metal surfaces. It is claimed to be particulary effective in such operations as tapping. screw-cutting, drilling and jigboring where tool-life and machine speeds are critical in terms of time and money.
