• When the old Blackwall tunnel re-opens on Friday (April 4) an electronic signalling system will help to prevent over-height vehicles entering. The left-hand lane has a 13ft 4in. height limit, but the right-hand lane (limited to cars and motorcycles), is only 9ft 5in. high.
