• A comprehensive pre-MoT vehicle test depot was opened on March 19 at Halifax Motor Co. Ltd., Saddleworth Road, Halifax. The company is a Ford main dealer and the opening was performed by Mr. S.E.G., Toy, Ford's director, commercial sales.
The pre-test station has three full lanes with facilities for hot-water cleaning, inspection to MoT standards and repair and rectification. For major repairs the company's main workshops in Church Street, Halifax, will be used.
