Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Road Haulage Association is offering a first prize of 50 guineas and a gold medal, a second prize of 30 guineas and a third of 15 guineas for a 5,000-word essay on the subject "Towards a Better Road Haulage Industry.The competition will be open to all members of the RHA with the exception of associate members) and their staff.

The first prizewinner will be asked to present his or her paper as a subject for discussion at one of the sessions of the RHA annual conference in Aviemore in October. It is hoped the competition will be held annually although not necessarily always in conjunction with the conference.

The panel of judges will pay regard in particular to originality of thought, evidence of knowledge of the road haulage industry and fluency of expression.
