its press guide to the forthcoming Frankfurt Motor Show is the latest 0303 integral coach (see page 21) which will be offered with the option of Mercedes-Benz's 216kW (290hp) OM 442 vee-eight N/A diesel engine. The latest 216kW engine is to be fitted in MercedesBenz's 1628 artics. The latest 0M442 has a maximum torque of 1,098Nm (810Ibft) between 1,000 and 1,50Orpm.
Mercedes-Benz UK plans to offer the re-engined 1628 — no doubt badged as a 1629 — in 1988.
